Preeti Singla is a Specialist Optometrist with over 14 years experience in NHS hospitals, community optometry and as a clnical supervisor for the undergraduate optometry degree at City University. She currently works at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel where in addition to her clinical responsibilities she is also involved in the teaching of medical students and pre-registration optometrists and helping ophthalmologists training for their Royal College of Ophthalmology Refraction Certificate Exam. She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Optometry, a Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and is an Independent Prescriber.
Hussain Khambati is Principal Optometrist for the South region for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, but also works in community practice as a locum optometrist. Alongside his clinical work, Hussain's specialist interests lie in teaching and he was previously the lead on undergraduate medical student and pre-registration optometrist teaching within the ophthalmology department at The Royal London Hospital. He has also been a visiting clinician at City University supervising third-year undergraduate optometrists in refraction. He has co-ordinated and delivered teaching in refraction to trainee ophthalmologists in his place of work and on similar courses.
Tina Khanam is a Specialist Registrar with more than 8 years of experience in NHS hospitals. She has been a clinical supervisor for junior doctors, medical students, nurses and allied health professionals. She currently works at Royal Free and UCH Hospitals. She has organised and conducted a number of Introduction to Ophthalmology Courses and Royal College of Ophthalmology CPD awarded Refraction Courses. She holds a masters degree in Biology of Vision from Institute of Ophthalmology UCL.
